Your character is so surreal and has bought light to what so many young lgbtq individuals go through. We try to live our lives for others pushing our true feelings and who we are last leaving us feeling lonely and unloved. Like your character, so many young gay men and women hide not for themselves but for the sake of family. I am sixty years of age and tell you that Willie and Simon have given me hope not just for myself but for the younger generation that follows, I see a little bit of myself in both characters. Willie who wants to please his mother and Simon who doesn't want his love to be a secret. We all want to live in our truth and be loved for who we are and not for but others want us to pretend to be, we don't want to wear a mask, we want to be real not just to ourselves but with others. The end of season 2 had me cheering and in tears, I can't wait for season 3 though I don't want the show to end I know it must.
